On April 22nd 2025, Guilded Founder and USFWC Executive Director, Esteban Kelly had the honor of representing our global cooperative movement at the United Nations!
A selection of his remarks include:
"I am honored to speak today on behalf of the International Cooperative Alliance, the global voice of more than 3 million cooperatives and over 1.2 billion members worldwide. We call on Member States and all partners to ensure that cooperatives are explicitly recognized in the Political Declaration of the World Social Summit as key actors in achieving sustainable and inclusive development.
"...cooperatives represent one of the most proven, inclusive, and scalable models of social innovation and collective well-being. With political will and strategic partnership, they can be at the forefront of the transformation this Summit seeks to achieve."
Guilded was originally incubated by the US Federation of Worker Cooperatives. Esteban was an original founder of Guilded and now serves on our Board of Directors.
